Condition: Fair. 1951. First Edition. 272 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Illustrated jacket over red cloth. Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Boards have been laminated with the dustjacket. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Endpapers have been removed. Slight gutter cracking. Binding is slightly loose. Foxing and tanning more noticeable towards start and end of book and on text block edges. Prices in pencil to half title. Tape marks to pastedowns and prelims. A few dog-eared corners. Text block edges are a little tanned and foxed with minor scratches. Dust jacket is taped to boards, so board condition hard to assess. Book has a heavy forward lean. Jacket, unclipped but with heavily trimmed flaps, has light edgewear with small tears, mild chips, and creasing. Slightly rubbed and marked overall. Jacket taped to boards in a transparent sleeve.
