Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dustjacket. First Edition. FIRST EDITION/VERY GOOD CONDITION. Green cloth with gilt lettering, still sharp, gold embossed top edges. There are three small dark brown spots on front cover. Spine is slightly softened with light rubbing, corners are slightly bumped and the binding is beginning to fray on one corner. Pages are unmarked. Previous owner's name on front end page in ink. Frontispiece with tissue guard intact. Historical fiction set in colonial Virginia. Very nice copy. Size: 5 x 8".

Textblock with 1" x 1/2" dampstaining at lower outside corner. Most of the book with uncut pages. Illustrated with nine b/w illustrations in the text and a b/w frontispiece. Green cloth boards Lettered in gilt at front and spine. Edges slightly rubbed and soiled, spine top and tail slightly bumped. Joints and hinges good, binding firm.
