HunterDouglas was a Dutch metals manufacturer which first developed the technology and equipment for continuous casting and fabrication of aluminum leading to the ever-present aluminum Venetian Blinds. The business quickly expanded through the succeeding decades, and by 1980 was offering a complete line of window coverings, including contracting with local suppliers for wood blinds.
