First Edition
First edition, apparently the first book devoted solely to the Chesapeake Bay Retriever. 12mo. 31 pp. Illus. from photos; 3-pages of show records from Chesacroft dogs, 1922-1923. Not in Jones "Bibliography of the Dog" (listing only two titles on the Chesapeake Bay Retriever, the earlier from 1933). OCLC locates one copy (Mariners Museum, Newport News, VA). Very good copy of a rare book. Original decorated brown wrappers, stapled. (#8436).
