La sua arte si concentra principalmente sulle strutture geometriche. Utilizza effetti di luce per enfatizzare la plasticità della forma. Le opere di Dobrovi? sono strettamente legate ai principi dell'astrazione geometrica e del neocostruttivismo. Appartenente al movimento artistico Nuove Tendenze, ha partecipato alle mostre delle Nuove Tendenze a Zagabria (1965, 1969 e 1973).  È noto soprattutto per le sue costruzioni spaziali e i suoi rilievi, come ad esempio Spatial Construction, 1966 e Folded Square, 1973. Dal 1962 ha tenuto mostre personali in Croazia e all'estero. Ha esposto alla Biennale di Venezia, del1972), alla Biennale d'arte di San Paolo, del 1973, all'Expo-67 di Montreal, del 1967 e alla mostra Costruttivismo e arte cinetica, Zagabria, 1995. Ha tenuto una mostra retrospettiva alla Glyptotheque dell'Accademia Croata di Zagabria (2003). È stato cinque volte vincitore del premio della mostra biennale della Scuola di arti grafiche jugoslava di Zagabria (1966-1982). Le sue opere sono conservate in musei croati ed europei e in collezioni private. Book.
