Paralelamente -y ésta es otra de las singularidades románticas- Rodriguez Galván también estuvo profundamente comprometido con México, con su historia, con su destino y -desde la creación literaria- con sus conflictos políticos cotidianos, con 'el dolor de México', como afirma Marco Antonio Campos parafraseando una definición de Unamuno.
