Rústica. Condition: New. En el año 1462 una nave de mercaderes valencianos cargada de muchos productos fue asaltada ante las costas de la actual Argelia por corsarios de Portugal. Nada nuevo: era habitual en el siglo XV este comportamiento de piratería marítima entre países. De vuelta en la capital valenciana su propietario y marineros, reclamaron ante las autoridades del Reino de Valencia que se exigiera una compensación por las pérdidas sufridas. Lo habitual era primero reclamar a las autoridades reales del país atacante, Portugal, y si había "silencio administrativo", se podía autorizar el embargo de bienes portugueses en Valencia o, como en este caso y después de unos años de espera, la creación de un impuesto especial a todos los productos de mercaderes de Portugal que llegara a la ciudad. Este es el origen y contenido del manuscrito que se edita ahora, así como de alguna documentación complementaria: los libros de registro de mercaderes, naves y productos comerciales portugueses que llegaron a Valencia a finales del siglo XV. Una fuente muy interesante sobre el volumen del tráfico comercial, productos, mercaderes y navegantes de finales de la Edad Media entre ambos países.…

Condition: Nuevo. L'any 1462 una nau de mercaders valencians carregada de molts productes va ser assaltada davant les costes de l'actual Algèria per corsaris de Portugal. Res de nou: era habitual al segle XV aquest comportament de pirateria marítima entre països. Retornats a la capital valenciana el propietari i els mariners, reclamaren davant les autoritats del Regne de València que s'exigís una compensació per les pèrdues patides. Habitualment, primer es feia la reclamació a les autoritats reials del país atacant, Portugal, i si hi havia "silenci administratiu", es podia autoritzar l'embargament de béns de portuguesos a València o, com en aquest cas i després d'un grapat d'anys d'espera, la creació d'un impost especial a tot producte de mercaders de Portugal que arribés a la ciutat. I aquest és l'origen i contingut del manuscrit que s'edita ara, i d'alguna documentació complementària: els llibres de registre de mercaders, naus i productes comercials portuguesos que arribaren a València a finals del segle XV. Una font ben interessant sobre el volum del tràfic comercial, productes, mercaders i navegants de finals de l'edat mitjana entre ambdós països.…
