Something (another envelope?) has been removed from inside back cover also peeling away a large portion of top layer of picture. Book looks rough, but good reading copy.

This adaptation for children of Uncle Tom's Cabin contains 166 pages with b/w illustrations by Ike Morgan on nearly every page. There are also many full page illustrations.The colorful front cover shows Uncle Tom sitting with a little white girl reading to him. The inside front cover and ffl shows a colorful picture by Mildred Lyon Wetherington of a woman sittling under a tree reading to three children. It is replicated on the inside back cover and fly leaf. The condition is near fine with the only sign of wear being slight scuffing on the bottom front and back corners of the covers. The pages are clean and free of all marks, tears, and folds. There is an inscription on the ffl from the giver of the book. The binding is tight.
