Edith Sitwell's celebration of the Russian Ballet illustrated with colour plates by Isabel de Bohun Lockyer. Sitwell's text provides an introduction and an exploration of seven ballets, including Kikimora, The Swan Princess, The Dragon-Fight and Baba Yaga. Lockyer was a painter and printmaker, known especially for her linocuts. Her colourful and graphic illustrations bring the richness and exoticism of the Russian Ballet to life. The book was republished in 1928 by Duckworth with the new title of Children's Tales from the Russian Ballet.
