Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Illustrated by Nedda Walker (illustrator). First Edition. A nice stated first edition copy, with the colorful jacket intact and preserved in a mylar Brodart cover. The cover art is all there, but there has been ill-advised repair with cellophane tape both on the front and the back. The mylar cover lessens the effect of this considerably. The book itself is clean and tight, with a dampstain on the front and back endpapers, but nowhere else (I don't know how that worked, considering that they are separated by the entire text!) The book was printed under wartime standards, and the paper has tanned, but is not brittle. Some pages have built-in creases that seem to have been inherent in the paper, adding texture. A pinhole mark is noted on page 123.
