Illustrated, the drawings having been made from 'actual specimens, either living or preserved'. There is an emphasis on animal care. Dust jacket is clipped, and has green lettering and illustration; it has some discolouration and a little wear, but it has protected the yellow cloth-covered boards well. These also have green lettering and illustrations. Binding good; top page edges dark green; end papers with some browning; text appears clean. Overall a good copy.
