This novel is based in the hills over Swansea in Wales and follows the life of Fon Parks as she nurses the ill wife of Jamie O'Conner, and marries the husband after the woman's death. Iris Gower (1935-2010), also known as Irish Davies, was a Welsh novelist noted for her historical romances. She was a patron of the Year of Literature in Swansea, and very active within the Swansea Writers' Circle. Collated, complete.
