Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Oblong octavo. 72 pages. Hardcover in red and light green patterned Nishijin textile, a special product of Kyoto, per the note printed on the verso side of the rear flyleaf. The binding has scuffs/fraying at the edges. Some damping/toning spots on the front and rear covers. Rubbing at the corners. Green patterned cloth on the front and rear pastedowns. The front and rear flyleaves have color illustrations. A note tipped in at the front states, "With the compliments of Keizo Itimura, Mayor of Japan." There is a spot of abrasion on the front flyleaf, and there are brief tears at the bottom edge of the Title Page and the Preface. Text is toned at outer edges. Book is full of a mix of tipped in and printed illustrations. Most of the photographic images are black and white, but some are in color.
