Die meisten ihrer Fotografien sind Schwarz-Weiß-Abzüge mit minimalistischem Hintergrund und behandeln oft Themen wie Tod, Sexualität und Schönheit. Sie verwendet einzigartige Multimedia-Inhalte und ist vor allem dafür bekannt, dass sie Meeresbewohner in ihre surrealistischen Fotografien einbezieht, darunter Lachsrogen, Fische, Tintenfische und Krabben. Ihre erste Ausstellung "Still Life" fand 1985 im Shinjuku Nikon Salon in Tokio statt. 1992 hatte sie ihre erste Museumsausstellung in den USA im MIT List Visual Arts Center.
