This first edition remains in great condition with boards quarter bound in blue cloth, with blue embossed detailing of the author name on front board. Spine is uncreased with straight edges. Silver titling has been rubbed slightly and small stain present at foot of spine.… Text block is straight. Binding is firm. 312p. Previous owners name in ink present on blue front paste down. Personalized inscription and signature from Ives can be found on title page. Otherwise interior remains unmarked with crisp pages. Box case remains secure with bold titling. Shelf wear present such as peeled corners, toning and miscellaneous stains. Overall remains a great collectable copy.
