First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. This offering is an older copy of History of Blanchester - Ohio (In Two Parts) written by J. E. Carnahan (James Estel Carnahan). The book was published by Unigraphic Inc. in 1978 - or so - and appears to be a First Edition - perhaps the only edition. The book is NOT an ex-library copy (unless the "Otterbein Home Library" is counted as an actual public library) and is in very good + condition. It has no dust jacket - sturdy hard cover cloth boards in a "library-like bonding" - and an inscription on the front loose end page which dates the book back to November 19 - 1981. It is 7 1/4" by 10" and has 407 pages with many older black-and-white photographs scattered throughout the book. This is quite a work! Mr. Carnahan (teacher - farmer - businessman with an avocation of CIVIC AFFAIRS) put a lot of time in on this history. "Estel Carnahan's History of Blamchester provides rural America with a miraculous machine that will transport us back to a time when the glow of gaslight was fading and the hum of the dynamo was beginning to pierce the serenity of the past (Chris Williams)" Thank you for looking!
