[no date]. (Mass market paperback) Very good. [No publisher or printer information given. Presumably from Kingston, c.mid-1970s]. 8vo. In original blue card wraps, front cover printed in black. Volume bound with simple black yarn tie. Light wear to wraps, faint creases, ever-so light discolouration at foot of top cover. Internally, entirely unblemished; bright and clean. Scarce collection of presumably self-published poetry. Contributors include B.J. John, Lynn Phelan, Diana Wilhelm, Jane Hawtin, Clare, Lynda Shepherdson Buhr, Victoria Karpiak, Marilyn Rankin, Renie Marshall, and Gini Salter. Simply sketch illustrations accompany poems. The only tantalizing clue as to the printer and / or publisher is a simple illustration device at the foot of the rear cover of a house with the Venus symbol at the peak of the roof with the words "Women's Centre" written in bubble letters beneath. We can only speculate, then, that this was likely a self-published collection of poetry from a local women's shelter (perhaps as a fundraiser?). The names of the contributors (such as authors Victoria Karpiak and Renie Marshall) lead us to believe that this monograph is from the Kingston, Ontario region. Bibliosleuthing aside, this remains a wonderful collection of intimate poetry.
