Condition: Good. 1963. First Edition. 244 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt lettering. B&W photographs throughout. Clean pages with firm binding. Notable foxing and tanning to endpapers and page edges. Mild wear to spine, board edges and corners, with scuffing and marking to boards. Notable sunning to spine.

Personal inscription and signature on front paste-down. Several black & white photos on glossy paper. No notations, highlighting or underlining. A joint auto-biography of Jack and Bessie Braddock (a love story) - picturing the starvation, unemployment and slum housing to accept these conditions whilst fighting to improve the lot of their fellow workers.
