Boards in d.j. 1st Edition. First edition. Octavo, original red cloth boards, dustjacket, b&w plates, endpaper maps, pp 145. Offsetting marks to endpaper maps and inner flaps of dustjacket from previous tape. Dustjacket worn and chipped. Very good condition in fair d.j., repaired and protected. price unclipped. Uncommon, particularly so in dustjacket. Jack Glicco was a trombonist in the clubs of Soho. From the dustjacket inner flap: "Here, told for the first time, is the frank and authentic story of London's 'Black Mile' - the dens of Soho where vice was rampant and where the reader will meet cosh-boys, prostitutes, and a host of fascinating people like Mrs Meyrick, the fabuous owner of the '43 club, and 'Brilliant' Chang whose drug-running organisation took years to smash. By a man who saw it all!".
