He served as Chairman of Samuelson Builders and Samuelson Real Estate for more than 62 years. He has been a Director of be. group, Inc. since 1992. He is the author of three books and the founder of Beacon Housing, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide affordable housing for families. He is a graduate of Occidental College and received an honorary doctorate from the school in 1997.
