A brilliant little book about early sub-Arctic exploration. The year is 1944. Text accompanied by b/w photographs. I concede that the 60 plus pages at the back are the work of T.H. Henry. They are very detailed ornithological observations. (Think - inter alia - Lesser Scaup Duck, Hudson Bay Eider, and Baird's Sandpiper). Cond : Boards are green with slightlu faded gilt lettering on spine. Dust jacket is missing. End-papers are (green tone) maps of the Okkak to Carr Lake region. Clean ,tight, bright, and collectible ! ! No names marks, creases, nor tears. Quote (p. 115) : " Getting out of the harbour was distinctly unpleasant, and I shall always remember it as being one of the experiences I should not choose to repeat.
