This is the life story of a great university-University of Calif at Berkeley, how it affected the lives of thirty nine of its most distingusih…ed alumni, and in fact, the life of the state and nation as well. It is signed by many of the writers of this Autobiography. Besides Stone's signature it is signed by 16 other contributors! It is a gift or presentation copy "To Mary Whose influence for good has not gone unnoticed by the University. Affectionatley, Knowles and Edith". Most prominent of the signers to me is that of George R Stewart who wrote two books I was extremely impressed by "Earth Abides" and "Ordeal by Hunger". Price intact jacket has moderate wear at base of spine but otherwise bright and fresh. In mylar. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Signed by Author.
