Contact seller5-star sellerMagazine. 16p. folded tabloid newspaper, articles, poetry, fiction, services and resources, events, nude photos and illustrations, very good on newsprint. Don Jackson on his proposed Gay Liberation Front takeover of Alpine County, California. San Francisco's erotic cinemas. Courtois' text and photos in the Sensorium. Annie Liebo…witz photos (small reproductions) of the First International Erotic Film Festival. According to the Online Archive of California, Bancroft: "The Sexual Freedom League was founded in 1963 in New York City. Julian Beck, Allen Ginsberg, and Dr. Leo Koch were among those on the Advisory Committee of the original group, which was active in demonstrations for a wide range of causes." The original SFL was formed in NYC by Jefferson Poland in 1963 as New York City League for Sexual Freedom. When Poland moved to the Bay Area from NYC in 1966 he founded the SFL in the East Bay which was a loose-knit group with few rules, little organization and no fees. After he broke away several others stepped in to create their own versions of the league including Richard Thorne, Margo Rila and her husband Frank Esposito Rila. By 1971 several SFL chapters had formed around the US including the one of which Don Jackson was a member. Jackson, whose copy this is, was a gay activist in California who contributed to The Alpine County Project aka Stonewall Nation. In a letter responding to internal strife over liberal and conservative leaders in the SFL Jackson, a Libertarian, offered himself as a liberal candidate for office. The San Francisco chapter was headed up by Margo St. James at this time.

Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. Career development interventions can serve as one means to constructively address the problems of inequitable access to educational and occupational options and achievement that promote health and well-being across the lifespan. Career Development Interventions for Social Justice: Addressing… Needs across the Lifespan in Educational, Community, and Employment Contexts offers practical examples of career development interventions that may be adapted to constructively address social justice needs at various points across the lifespan (ranging from elementary school ages to older adults) in educational, community, and employment contexts. Tailored to the needs and context of a specific underserved group of individuals, each intervention integrates relevant career development theory, research, ethical considerations, elements of sound program design and evaluation, and professional competencies for best practices in multicultural career counseling and social justice advocacy. Unique to this book are the contributions of authors, including practicing professional counselors and psychologists, who share their personal reflections of self-awareness from privileged and marginalized identities regarding potential biases and resources of relevance to their chapters intervention. In the process of designing and providing career development services for individuals from marginalized groups, it is imperative for counselors to continually reflect on and consult about their own biases and resources for empathic understanding and effectiveness with those whom we serve. This book provides practical examples of career development interventions that address social justice needs in a range of contexts across the lifespan. Its grounded in research, a range of theoretical perspectives, sound program design, and professional competencies for best practices in multicultural career counseling and social justice advocacy.
