The author, who has spent a lifetime studying the issue, decries the institution of slavery as a disease eating away at the heart of the nation. The author goes into great detail explaining how this would provide immediate and complete emancipation, while simultaneously solving the free black problem by helping transport free blacks out of the country to establish their own free colonies in Africa.
