Er hinterließ ein Manuskript über Perspektive, dass die Verleger Rocolet und Hulpeau erwarben und 1628 drucken wollten. Durch den Tod von Hulpeau konnte der Druck jedoch nicht vollendet werden und 1641 gelangte das Manuskript in den Besitz des Mathematikers Étienne Migon, der es gründlich überarbeitete und erst 1643 in der vorliegenden Form veröffentlichte.
