Couverture souple. Condition: Assez bon. Jacques Redelsperger (1847-1930) était un poète, un écrivain et un peintre illustrateur. En 1917 il publie ce recueil de 49 poèmes dits "de guerre". A l'époque ce mode d'expression en vers est courant , aussi bien en France qu'en Allemagne. Il s'agit d'un exercice de style fort à la mode…et les journaux en publient régulièrement. Difficile de mieux caractériser ce recueil que le fait le Sous-Secrétaire d'Etat de l'époque Albert Dalimier ! C'est "une oeuvre de saine propagande ." La couverture épique de L. Jonas préfigure deux photos qui feront la Une à la fin de la seconde Guerre Mondiale, le drapeau rouge sur le Reichstag et la bannière étoilée à Iwo Jima. Beaucoup de dessinateurs, dont certains bien connus , ont apporté leur contribution à cet ouvrage. Outre L. Jonas, retenons celles d' Abel Faivre, Gottlob, Léandre, Métivet, Raemaekers, Robida, Willette . Edition Originale par Souvenez vous en 1917, broché avec une couverture souple illustrée par L.
