These four volumes are entitled AM1, AM2, AM3, and AM4 with the subtitle for all four: "Archives Malanga." Each volume ends with a poem by Malanga and his signature beneath and the #6 written in ink.… They were limited to 100. Includes b&w photos of Malanga with others important in his life as well as critical essays by others. Extremely rare item. Volume I includes an interview Malanga and did with Salvador Dali who speaks about Federico Garcia-Lorca. Volume 2 has a photo of Warhol by Samuel Moskavitz on the cover and inside and remembrances by Malanga, "Robert Creeley: Recollections," "Remembering Anthony Hecht," and "Andy Is 80!". Volume 3 contains many pieces by Malanga The cover photo is of him and Edie Sedgwick. Also, full-page photo, "Edie on the Day of Her Departure for Paris" taken by John Palmer and 2-page photo of Gerard and Edie taken by Paul Morrissey plus Malanga's remembrance piece,"Edie." Also, remembrance of George Plimpton with full-page photo by Malanga taken in 1974. Volume 4 has a photo of Wm Burroughs by Malanga on the cover plus inside photo of Burroughs "At Home." Includes article on Malanga by Aram Saroyan. Pieces by Malanga in an interview on Richard Avedon, Malanga's own interview with William Burroughs, and essay on Cesar Vallejo.
