The boards have a tiny stain and wear to edges and corners. It seems to have originally to have been a document with paper wraps that has later been bound for its protection. Some tanning to the b&f feps. There is a frontis. (a b&w fold-out illus. of Stutfall from the marshes, drawn and etched by W H Brooke). The title page has a gift inscr. to a Miss Rolfe, who seems to be a relation of one of the subscribers, from Elliott, one of the authors. The contents consist of viii, followed by 45 pages of :- the report incl. 6 in-text b&w illus./ maps, list of plates (with text detail) and list of subscribers, +10 wonderful plates (incl. frontis.) From Ex Local History Archives, which sold off all books outside of its borough when moved to smaller premises. A few Library features: bookplate on fep, a few library stamps, and white lib. ref. on spine. Very scarce. Book tight and clean.
