Imperial octavo. 10½'' x 7¼''. This is Puckle's best-known literary work (reprinted as recently as 1900), a moral dialogue between a father and son. Contains frontispiece portrait of Puckle by T. Bragg; decorative title, [10], x, 96 pp with 27 tissue-guarded small wood engravings by John Thurston after James Thompson etc., the opening 18 pp of preliminary leaves red bordered, the remainder of the volume with black geometrical design decorative borders. 1 of 200 Limited Edition large paper copies, with the illustrations printed on smooth paper and skilfully laid in.
