Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. The book's hinges are secure and it does not suffer from spine-lean. There is a smudge on the second-to-last page of the book. The rest of the book's pages are clean and unmarked. About 25 pages near the end of the book have a small indentation along the fore-edge, some with an accompanying crease or bend. There are a few insignificant marks or faint smudges on the book's outer covers and spine, but most of the book's exterior looks very clean. The book has no bumped corners or evident rubbing. The dust jacket is not price-clipped and is very clean. It has one long crease in the back panel and some discoloration from light exposure. There is wear to edges including many chips and tears, none of which exceeds about 1/2" in depth. Book and dust jacket will be bubble-wrapped and shipped in a sturdy box to ensure safe transit.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. David Hendrickson (illustrator). 1st Edition. Prepared under the direction of the California State Curriculum Commission for the California State Series, this is the best sort of educational book; teaching students about the history and culture of Mexico through a well-written, exciting adventure story. In a true blend of text and illustrations, there are integrated pictures (mostly full color) on almost every spread, and really splendid illustrations they are; a huge part of the attractiveness of this book. The festive orange cloth is quite faded on spine and edges of boards. There is a small rubber stamp - from a school district - on prelim, rear pastedown and (as far as I can tell) two pages, and a number written on bottom edges. A small bookseller's label is on front pastedown. A very good, tight, clean, solid copy of this excellent book. JS.

Soft cover. Condition: New. New condition color illustrated and color photographic softcover wraps. Includes Introduction. Illustrated with black-and-white photographs. "Steve Jobs reminded us that our work is going to fill a large part of our lives, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what we believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. This anthology is a collection of 26 stories about people who love what they do and in the process, inspire the rest of us to re-engage with our work and the value it brings to our personal development. Their experiences are all different and their motivations vary. Their backgrounds and circumstances and choices of careers are all unique. But they are all from the same cloth. They are big dreamers willing to take bold action. They are thought leaders and trail blazers and people whose presence ignites those around them. They are contagiously enthusiastic about life and determined to live it fully. Let them amaze you. Let them remind you of the boundless energy of the human spirit and the authentic pleasure of jobs well done. It has been a joy and a gift for us to invite these authors to tell their stories and share their insight. We hope that you are as impacted as we were by their indomitable spirits and bold actions. More than that, we are confident you will be inspired by them to seek the best that is within you and create your own personal path to self-development through the art of dreaming big and being bold." - Paula Morand and Victoria Craig, Paula Morand Enterprises. - from the Introduction.
