Assessmentsysteme sind Instrumente, welche der qualitativen und quantitativen Erfassung des medizinischen Schadens und seiner aktuellen Folgen sowie funktioneller und psychosozialer Einschränkungen dienen. Das Gütekriterium der Validität bestimmt, ob ein Assessment diese Einschränkungen auch tatsächlich misst.
