Wat betekent het verhaal van de verloren zoon (of dochter) in deze tijd? Hoe kunnen we een gemeenschap creeren waarin mensen elkaar in al hun verscheidenheid kennen en vasthouden? Wat zou de rol van de overheid hierin moeten zijn? In deze reflectie zoekt Gert-Jan Segers naar antwoorden en roept hij op tot een samenleving waarin mensen zich weer thuis kunnen voelen. Gert-Jan Segers (1969) is politicus en studeerde in Leiden en Washington. Hij werkte tussen 2000 en 2007 in Cairo en was daarna directeur van het Wetenschappelijk Instituut van de ChristenUnie. Sinds 2015 is hij fractievoorzitter in de Tweede Kamer.
