Condition: Gut. 287 S. Von Jeanloup Sieff signiert. Umschlag leicht berieben, sonst gutes Exemplar. - "Warum fotografieren Sie?" wurde ich häufig, allzu häufig gefragt. "Weil ich einen Fotoapparat geschenkt bekam", lautete meine offene, naive Antwort. Dabei war es wirklich so! Hätte ich nicht zu meinem vierzehnten oder fünfzehnt…en Geburtstag eine Photax aus schwarzem Plastik bekommen, dann wäre ich vielleicht Schauspieler, Regisseur, Schriftsteller oder Gigolo geworden - leider ein unmöglicher Traum, den ich lange Zeit mit dem Schriftsteller Tristan Bernard teilte! Besser gibt man auf einfache Fragen keine allzu offensichtlichen Antworten, weil man dann nicht ernstgenommen wird. Beim soundsovielten inquisitorischen Interview begann ich daher, metaphysischere Gründe anzugeben, etwa: "Um den Flug der Zeit anzuhalten." Nostalgisch wie ich bin, war das übrigens keine falsche Antwort. Nur ist es eher ein Resümee als die wahre Ursache. Und heute, da ich von neuem in der Vergangenheit meiner Bilder krame und mich frage, warum sie gemacht wurden, stehe ich wieder zu meinem einzig echten Motiv, avißer natürlich dem, daß sich mein Geburtstagsgeschenk amortisieren mußte: Ich fotografiere zum VERGNÜGEN.
