Edges of covers slightly rubbed and creased, mainly to the edges of the spine and corner tips. There are no reading creases to the spine. No reading lean to the binding. Spine tight. Edges of page block clean - just lightly tanned. Internally also very good, with no previous ownership inscriptions. Inner covers slightly browned. Paper stock lightly tanned as usual. Pages clean with no foxing. ***111 pages. 180mm x 110mm. ***'Penguin Modern Poets is a series designed to introduce contemporary poetry to the general reader by publishing representative work by each of three modern poets in a single volume. A charming and very personal account of a journey from the UK to China, undertaken by four aging friends in two transit vans, in 2007. Not so much a guide book, but an inspiration to others to undertake challenges with friends and hopefulness.
