Beautifully illustrated with paintings in colour and black and white sketches. The comparisons… between the Indian and the Irish peasant (RC) cultures are highlighted by the Dublin-born committed member of the Church of Ireland. The spine has been damaged and a portion of the front board cover is missing, not affecting the painting. The binding is tight and this a clean, bright copy of a rare item. J.E. Carson (illustrator).
