Hardcover. Condition: New. Dust Jacket Condition: New dust jacket. NOT a library discard (illustrator). Los Angeles, CA: WND Books, 2007. SIGNED by the AUTHOR directly on the half title page (his signature only, NOT personalized to anyone). BRAND NEW in a BRAND NEW dust jacket. Perfect condition. NO chips. NO tears. NO creases. Bound in the original blue boards, stamped in shiny silver on the spine. From the pristine dust jacket: "In THE LATE GREAT USA, Jerome Corsi argues that the benignly-named Security and Prosperity Partnership, created at a meeting between George W. Bush, Stephen Harper and Vincente Fox, is in fact the same kind of regional integration plan that led Europe to form the EU. According to Corsi, the elites in Europe behind the EU knew that it would be necessary to conceal from the peoples of Europe what was being done in their name until the process was so far advanced that it had become irreversible. Could the same thing be happening here? Is American sovereignty doomed? Using dozens of documents secured through the Freedom of Information Act and his trademark hard-hitting interviews, Corsi sets out a chilling view of America's possible harmonized future - one being created covertly, without voter input or Congressional oversight. Could our government's unfathomable position on illegal immigration be tied to the prospect of an integrated North American Union?". Hardcover. New/New dust jacket. Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine condition. NOT a library discard (illustrator). Hudson, Wisconsin: Final Mission Publishing, 2006. Signed by Jerome Linus German directly on the title page. SIGNED copies are SCARCE. Also signed twice by his wife, Patricia, to whom the book is dedicated. In addition to her autographs, she has written a brief explanation of the mistake that required the top inch of the title page to be neatly cut away (no print is lost). Condition is otherwise FINE. Appears unread. Sharp corners. Pages are fresh, crisp, clean and unmarked -- obviously never read. Bound in the original black laminated boards, with full color illustrations front and back. From the publisher: "Though this is J. L. German's first published novel, it is certainly not his first story. The books fluid style, flesh and blood characters, and gripping plot attest to a lifetime of story telling. The author's fascination with the work of John Paul II (i.e. THE THEOLOGY OF THE BODY), indeed, his enthusiasm for life, is evident from cover to cover of this spiritual epic. Though the book could be accurately termed science fiction, by nature of the fact that it is a futuristic tale, its similarity with much of the rest of the genre ends there. Set early in the 22nd century, the reader enters a world timidly perched on the threshold of star travel, a world beckoned by a recently discovered radio signal from the Alpha Centauri system. As Earth gears up for its first star voyage, the speculation begins. Are the inhabitants of this distant world humanoid? Is their world a paradise, or are they a fallen race? What kind of civilization grows up in paradise? What would an innocent race gain by developing radio technology? And what would they make of us? Of clothing? Of weapons? Of greed and lust? And, if they are fallen, did Christ die to save them as well? Is the Church's mission interplanetary? Interstellar? Galactic? German juggles these questions via unforgettable characters cast in extraordinary circumstance -- an unprecedented crossroad. If sci fi and Christian dogma do not seem an odd mix, add the fact that very little sci fi has a woman as its main character. ONE LIKE US bridges the sci fi gender gap with the ordinary but extraordinary, humble but bold, Veronica Weslin, who brings beauty and romance to an often too techy, too horror-driven genre. But don't worry guys; this is rounded-out sci fi, not watered-down. German's inventive bent lends gritty, fig-leafless detail to the intrigue and adventure that make it a page turner from cover to cover.". Signed by Jerome Linus German. 1st ed? From the publisher: "A memoir of life in post-WWII New York, of the West Coast music scene during the heyday of pop recording sessions, of law practice in 'small town' Los Angeles, and the denizens of these worlds. The author is a musician and attorney who has studied with Leonard Rose and Pierre Monteux, performed with Pierre Boulez, recorded with Frank Sinatra and toured with Frank Zappa. He provides an up-close view of such diverse subjects as life in the recording studios and concert halls, an attorney's daily dealings with clients and courts, and a blow-by-blow description of the pitfalls and pratfalls of adult dating at the beginning of the 21st Century. By turns nostalgic, uplifting and amusing, the author tells his story, and the stories of those whose paths have crossed his, with a clear eye and an engaging, often tongue-in-cheek style.". 1st ed?
