Condition: Very Good. Jacket Condition: . 1st Edition 13.2 x 19.3 cm paperback with image of smoking skeleton to the front and titles to the front and spine 196pp. Extremely well preserved considering its age there is a little marking to the covers and rubbing to the spine with some surface abrasion. Internally clean, without name, inscription or bookplate noting only very slight spotting to the first couple of pages and a hint of spotting to the edge of the text block only. This is an early 20th Century example of a book that uses statistical evidence to back up its opposition to smoking. It also contains chapters on addictive substances such as canabis, cocaine and alcohol and applies many of the prejudices of the times to apportion blame for its arrival and misuse. Rainford & Parris Books welcomes enquiries, so please do not hesitate to ask if you require further images or have any questions. All books are packaged with great care.
