They were translated into English by Paul Blackburn, and are enhanced…by the handsome monotone drawings of Floyd Sowell. Published by Doubleday and Company in 1974 this is the First Edition, bound in the publisher's reinforced library binding (or Prebound as the ISBN terms it). Both the trade binding and this binding were published simultaneously. The Doubleday 'prebounds' were not limited to libraries alone, and thus customers had a choice of bindings.
