Joan Coons is a much forgotten woman author during WWII. Per the dust jacket, she had a PhD in Pharmacology, but I can find no additio…nal information on her. Even AI draws a blank. Her novels now have become scarce and this signed copy may be unique in the current market. This copy is near fine in red cloth with gilt titles on the spine. Bumping at the corners and spine ends and slight age toning on the endpapers. No other marks or damage. The unclipped DJ has minor edge wear and chipping. Inscribed by Coons on the front free endpaper and dated 1944. . Signed.
