This is book of anecdotes about friends and friendships that comes out a forgotten time - the 1940s and 50s. The author tells some stories all with a meaning at the end, and there are stories from some of his friends as well. With a little bit of a religious tone, the author reveals may of the friends in his collection and why he keeps on collecting them, two legged and four legged. A clean very presentable copy. The jacket is edge worn and splitting at seams and is missing front end flap. Jackt is also spotty and a bit soiled. Book has light fade to cover edges but is generally in very nice shape. Nicely signed on front end page byt author with full name and note "Remember the Camp Meeting" as well as the date July 11, 1948. The name of M Bastian, an wyoming historian and writer appears on the opposing page. Last two pages have numerous signatures from people who I think were present at the big camp meeting that the book covers. There is also a 3 cent stamp called These Immortal Chaplains. Meeting appears to have been a western christian camp meeting. Not dated but I believe 1948 is accurate.…
