Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Grey cloth on boards, with gilt stamped decoration and lettering to front board, and small flower gilt motif to spine. Light bumping to extremities. Front prelim pages are loose, but present and, due to age of paper, are crumbling at the edges. Ink inscription, on loose free page, dated 1904. A small poem signed 'AS' entitled 'Widmung' (Dedication) is dated 1903. The contents are split into four groups, I. Dermischte Gedichte (Miscellaneous Poems), II. Gelegenheitsgedichte (Occasional Poems), III. Toaste (Toasts) and IV. Derschiedenes (Various). An unusual book which, due my limited knowledge of the German language (Google helps), I am not able to completely fathom out. A Johannes Siebert wrote a book concerning Tannhauser. If this is the same Johannes Siebert I cannot be sure. , and woud welcome any advice/information that could be available. I would guess (and that's all that it is, that the first three sections are poems by, and the last not. At least two poems in the latter section are attributed to Edgar Allan Poe (by Siebert). There is no indication as to the publisher, or the date of publication, although the above dates suggest 1904. There is a black and white photographic portrait, which is tissue protected, as frontis, presumably of Siebert. Unpagenated.
