The detailed text of the book describes the events happening in 1572 based on authoritative manuscripts and earlier books by Dutch historians. 305 pages of text followed by two publications containing poetry celebrating the Jubilee, published under the name of Izaak van Huyssenburg in Dordrecht by Pieter van Braam consisting of 23 leaves all of which are bound in. Illustrated with a fold-out plate depicting the siege and capture of the town of Brill.
