The four parts have 96 very nicely colored, fold-out lithographed plates showing the individuals of the order of Coleoptera Linnaeus, the Lepidoptera beetles. With the four wonderful title pages, a total of one hundred engravings in impeccable condition. The work of the Dutch physician Voet (1706-78) was translated and supplemented by the German botanist and entomologist Panzer (1755-1829). The engravings were made by the Nuremberg master Valentin Bischoff (1740-1805). Contemporary, uniform, half-leather binding with ribbed spine, with labels, and painted edges. I didn't find any copies for sale or in any library. Never been in international auction.
