Manuscript / Paper Collectible
Final Draft script for the 1982 film. Copy belonging to special effects crew member John Burke, with his name on the front wrapper in manuscript ink, and his manuscript pencil annotations to the rear wrapper and throughout. Missing two pages, likely as used or issued. While visiting his daughter in a small Colorado town, a retired New York policeman becomes involved in solving the case of a string of cattle mutilations. Shot on location in Colorado, New York, and Wyoming. Goldenrod titled wrappers, noted as FINAL DRAFT on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 218, dated 2/27/81, with credits for director Alan Rudolph. Title page present, noted as FINAL DRAFT, dated 2/27/81, with credits for director Alan Rudolph. 132 leaves, with last page of text numbered 132. Xerographic duplication, rectos only, with rainbow revision pages throughout, dated variously between 8/13/81 and 10/1/81. Pages and wrapper Very Good plus, bound with two gold brads.
