My boys were coming to their teens and I saw potential in who they were and took whatever opportunities I had to help them make decisions that I as a parent felt would be of value to them. At times, our best learning experiences with our children in most cases are through activities and as in this case an Adventure, I thought it would be a push, but it would be fun. It started as every Adventure, new, fun, full of energy and as the week went on it continued to be the time I had hoped. We sometimes think that education can only come from books or lectures but as we all discovered at some point in our lives the deep learning the deep lessons come from experience. In the mountains is where I have often found to be my best lessons and spiritual moments, I yearned for my boys to find the same. I love analogies and turning many things we experience or see day to day into a life lessons, My kids would say I have a terrible habit of turning everything into a learning opportunity, or lecture. "oh here he goes again" they would say and for the most part they were right. My feeling is that this world has so much to offer and sometimes, especially young people they miss the beauty and simplicity of a treasured memory. I hope this book helps us discover ways to teach our children but first we need to catch the vision, feel the treasures that each lesson in life teaches. A book on the perspective of our outlook on life and how motivation is contagious. This item is printed on demand.
