Corrected and enlarged by John Edward Jackson, an English clergyman of the Church of England, antiquary, and archivist. The volume provides a detailed topographical study of Wiltshire, with chapters on Bradford, Chippenham, Highworth, Kingsbridge, Malmesbury, Dunworth, Selkley, and Westbury. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, fading to spine, with bumping to the head and tail. Light rubbing to joints and extremities. Odd mark to boards. Front hinge failed. Ink inscription to front paste down. Internally, mostly firmly bound. Pages up to frontispiece split from text block, still bound to the endpapers. Frontispiece loosening.
