Large Original Oil Painting on board "CORNDON COUNTRY", Ladywell Lead Mine & Corndon Hill, Shropshire & Wales, Border Country near The Stiperstones. Undated, but probably dates to the late 1960s, this is a large original oil painting on board showing Corndon Hill and what I believe to be The Ladywell Lead Mine, painted by John Emberton, of Minsterley, Shropshire. The frame measures 30 inches by 40 inches approx. the large painting is very well executed, visually striking to look at with vivid colouring, also depicting a miner with pick in the foreground, recording part of Shropshire's Mining History, there are a couple of minor blemishes, else in very good general condition. The painting is large and heavy, 10 kilos unpacked. I am sorry I am not offering overseas shipping on this item. Buyer preferably to collect from my address in Shropshire.
