A letter about Petherick's claim against the Egyptian government. an impression for an artwork and autograph. John Gibson 1817 - 1892 was an English architect born at Castle Br…omwich, Warwickshire. Gibson was an assistant to Sir Charles Barry and assisted him in the drawings of the Houses of Parliament. Gibson also designed Todmorden Town Hall which opened in 1875. John Petherick 1813 - 1882 was a Welsh traveller, trader and consul in East Central Africa. in 1869 published Travels in Central Africa and Explorations of the Western Nile Tributaries, in which he set out the details of the Speke controversy. Size is 185mm x 115mm. Condition is good. Light folding creases. Ref 19209. Signed by Author(s).
