Loose Leaf. Condition: Very Good. An original arrest warrant for George McUlloh (McCullough; McCulloch) for the Assault and Battery of John Hoblitzell. 1 pp. front only, 19.68 x 8.25cm, Allegany County, Maryland. Document is clean and bright. Clear, legible bright writing. Light creasing from previous folding of document. Overall, document in excellent condition. Now, document in clear protective cover. The warrant was issued on the testimony of John Hoblitzell and Adam Sigber Honeman(Honeyman). According to Allegany county records from 1813, John Hoblitzell was a property holder in Cumberland, Maryland. Related Hoblitzell's from Cumberland, Maryland was Fetter Schrier Hoblitzell born in Cumberland, a private in the First Maryland Regiment of Infantry of the Confederate Army. He was member of the State house of delegates in 1870 and 1876; reelected in 1878 and served as speaker; elected as a Democrat to the Forty-seventh and Forty-eighth Congresses (March 4, 1881-March 3, 1885); city counselor of Baltimore in 1888 and 1889.
