The warrant was issued on the testimony of John Hoblitzell and Adam Sigber Honeman(Honeyman). According to Allegany county records from 1813, John Hoblitzell was a property holder in Cumberland, Maryland. Related Hoblitzell's from Cumberland, Maryland was Fetter Schrier Hoblitzell born in Cumberland, a private in the First Maryland Regiment of Infantry of the Confederate Army. He was member of the State house of delegates in 1870 and 1876; reelected in 1878 and served as speaker; elected as a Democrat to the Forty-seventh and Forty-eighth Congresses (March 4, 1881-March 3, 1885); city counselor of Baltimore in 1888 and 1889.
