I cannot get away and my wife finds it too much of a.nervous strain to tackle the double journey to Cardiff'; but he hopes that she 'will be able to spend a few days with us, if not with Kenneth, by yourself (this could be a reference to fellow geologist, Kenneth Arthur Davies (1897-1991), former director of the Geological Survey, Uganda).
